Welcome to the Jefferson City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #19 Website.
Included in this site, you will find many links that are useful to you as members and citizens.
The Jefferson City chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police was founded in 1984 by Jefferson City
Police Officers who were concerned about the rights of Police Officers in the area. At that time,
those officers encountered pressure by their administration to not form a lodge. Burdening the threats
and intimidation, the officers forged forward in an effort to make sure that Jefferson City Police Officers
had a voice when it came to doing their jobs.
Since 1984, many things have changed within the F.O.P.
Today, Lodge #19 offers its membership many services ranging from legal protection to life insurance.
The F.O.P. continues to work diligently to keep communication lines open with Police and City Administration in an effort
to improve and maintain desirable working conditions of Jefferson City Police Officers.
This working relationship not only benefits the members of the Police Department, but also benefits the Citizens of Jefferson City as well.
Also, since forming in 1984, the F.O.P. has maintained an active presence in the community.
Charitable contributions as well as participation in charitable events has always been a focus of the F.O.P.
These range from "Shop with a Cop" programs, to many functions working to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics.
Following the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, the F.O.P. participated in an effort to raise
$20,000 to support the families of fallen Police Officers and Firemen lost during the attacks.
I hope you enjoy this site, and find the information contained in it useful.
